Removing Tourists From Photos Of Crowded Places

Have you ever been to a popular tourist destination and wished that there was nobody around, so that you could take a photo showing only the place, with no people in it? This is getting harder and harder in these times of global travel, when everybody has at least a cellphone camera and wants innumerable pictures of them on the spot, or the ubiquitous selfie?

However, if you have the time and the patience, a tripod, and Adobe Photoshop, you might be able to get a clean image even in those situations. Have a look at the video that F Stop Lounge contributor Ugo Cei made, explaining a possible technique for getting rid of people in photos that doesn’t involve hours of painstakingly applying the healing brush tool.

Notice: The Statistics script is only available in the Extended version of Photoshop CS or CC.
