The team at Timelapse SA have caught our eye a few times before. First, with their timelapse back in 2013 and more recently with the behind the scenes from their most recent trip to Karoo.

In the last couple of days Joe & Jonelle Louw have premiered their first ever timelapse short film on their website.

Titled ‘Where We’ll Go’, the couple explored Karoo, which is located in the the Victoria West (De Aar) area of South Africa. Before returning to this isolated environment, story boards, gear lists and meal plans had to be thoroughly thought out and prepared before any camera could start rolling.

Armed with an array of sliders, dollies and timelapse filming magic the core of the film features a variety of techniques that include hyper lapses, timelapse, focus pulls and day to night scenes. All round this is certainly worth watching.

“It has been an incredible journey to produce this film. While the shooting is always the most fun part, it’s the processing that brings the final product together. The latter is of course much more time consuming than anyone could imagine. Even more so when you need to keep clients happy at the same time ;-) ”

This short film forms a host of different projects produced by Joe & Jonelle. If you would like to see more of their work, check out their Instagram, Vimeo or Blog where you can see the behind the scenes and other final works.
