As of late, I’ve been taking my adventures off road and I’ve been looking for a safer companion to take along for the ride. My Sony A99 is too big and way too important to strap to my handlebars and sure, I could go with the GoPro and call it a day,… but when I saw the price (and the 4 star rating on Amazon.com) I decided to give this budget option a try. I also picked up a Sony Action Cam for comparison and I’ll run through the results on that one shortly.

For the price, the Polaroid Cube is hard to beat and it comes in a pretty adorable package. Since purchasing this cube I’ve picked up a second to attach to a companion’s bike and/or extend my recording time for longer rides. I also have the waterproof housing, although the cube lasted an entire day’s ride through the very wet, very muddy 2015 Ididaride endurance event in Gainesville, Florida without it.

Will this satisfy all those out there looking to document their adventures? Probably not, but I found the exposure and vibrancy of the picture to be quite acceptable.
