Tell us about yourself. When did you first start in photography and what other things do you enjoy doing apart from photography?

I’m a native Australian living in the US. I’m an avid hiker, photographer & technology enthusiast.

What is your camera and brand of choice? Why do you use it and what do you most like about the product and brand?

The Nikon D800 due to the superior build quality & dynamic range. Sony’s definitely on the radar though.

What’s your favourite lens?

The Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8, it’s amazing sharp and the light capturing capability is great even if it is a monster of a lens.

Is there a camera bag your could recommend? What’s so good about it? Does it have any advantages or disadvantages?

I would recommnd the F-Stop Kenti, and Tilopa BC for longer trips due to fantastic build quality and functionality. In my opinion they’re well worth the investment espcially for outdoor activities.

We’re all on social media these days, but which one do you use?

Instagram & Google+.

Whose work or personality really inspires you to go out and take photos? How did you first come across their work?

I’m really inspired by Marc Adamus and Trey Ratcliff over on Google+, they’re probably my biggest influence.

When was your favourite moment? What happened? Did you manage to take a photo or experience something? Tell us about it.

The moment that stands out the most was when I watched the sunrise from the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. Recent blizzards had left pristine snow and a spectacular light show followed as the sun crept up in the sky.

We’ve all been there, but when was the last time you had a bad day? What happened?

My worst day happened when I accidentally sent $5K+ worth of photographic equipment for a swim in a pretty pond near Marble CO.

If you could go anywhere in the world to take photographs where would you go? Does this place have any significant meaning to you?

I have a long list, which includes Namibia and Myanmar.

Last book read? Well it could be a magazine, ebook or any other written form, but what was the book about? Would you recommend it?

Loving Landscapes and yes would recommend it for the appropriate level photographer.

Coffee or tea of choice? Spill the beans we want to know!

Dazbog coffee.

Food of choice?

Chicken Parmigiana!

Finally any advice to others? Everyone has a little bit of advice to give, so what is it?

Follow your passion, create your own footprints, once you realise you don’t have to follow the “expected” path, a whole world will be open to you… explore life as much as you can and most of all be true to your heart, you’ll find it along the way if you haven’t ;-)
