Back in November 2012, I wrote an article about the future of imaging. I covered where imaging was heading and what we could expect in the future, one of these things was life blogging. Well my friends, the future is here, it’s call Bokeh!

Bokeh is the brainchild of entrepreneurs and programmers Chao “Michael” Zhang and Mike Zupan. It’s a mobile app which helps you record your life simply and easily. All you have to do is simply sign up for free, take a photo and it will automatically share it to your stream.

I’ve already setup my own profile leighdiprose.bokeh.com so you can see what I’m up to. (Clearly I don’t have any privacy issues). Having only taken a few photos I’m sure I will be using this app quite a bit.

It’s easy to understand how the app actually works due to its simple design. You can view your photos like you would a calendar, so navigating a few months back is only a button press, now there is no excuse for not remembering those big night outs!

You live your life in days, so why organize your memories into albums? Bokeh helps you tell the story of your days, and makes it extremely easy to revisit any day in the past.

Once you have taken a photo you will be able to add as little or as much text to the image as you like. I’m a little busy most of the time so I might let the picture tell a thousand words.

Currently the Bokeh app only supports the capture of images straight from your mobile device’s camera. The app is only available on the apple store at the moment, however I’m sure the android version won’t be too far away either. Michael Zhang also notes the ability to share images from one’s camera roll will be coming soon. Video capture is also on the cards along with a browsing feature so you can connect with other users.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up for free now and get your very own domain name! Be quick otherwise it might go!
