360° – See Everything The Hero’s Way

Human beeings have an almost 180-degree forward-facing horizontal field of view.  And some birds have a complete or nearly complete 360-degree field of view. The vertical range of the field of view in humans is typically 180 degrees.

Wouldn’t it be great to capture a 360° field of view on video?

Up to now it was hard work and a lot of money and time to be spent to get 360° videos right.

360° Video is an entirely new medium for today’s display technology.  360° Video surrounds the user in content.  It is immersive, transporting, and exploratory. It is not virtual reality. It is real life, recorded completely.

360Heros, a long time specialist on 360° videos, has now come up with an easy to use and inexpensive solution: the 360Heros 360 Plug-n-Play holders! The 360Heros 360 Plug-n-Play holders can house 6 different GoPro cameras to create the all-seeing eye.

The 360Hero website states: “This is all possible because of a convergence of camera utility, stitching software, and display technologies. The 360 Plug-n-Player Holders provide the essential framework that ties it all together. They are 3D printed from aircraft-grade nylon and designed for ease of use in the field. ”

The holder is currently beeing funded as a kickstarter project which you can support here!
